To this...

When I began this process in March 2009 (original post/picture) I knew that my "Cave" needed some organization. I just didn't know where to begin. Then in May of 2009 with the help of Wookiemouse's "Organize Your Stuff Challenge" I found some direction. (My 1st Challenge Post) 29 weeks later I now have a functional and almost completely organized space. I still have a few weeks to go back and finish up but for the most part I'm happy. I did away with the homemade sticker thingy and put them in 3 drawer sterilites.
I needed to address:
- Stickers/3D embellishments Check!!
- Paper & Cardstock Check!!
- Work Surface Check!!
- Stamps Check!!
What I wanted to see:
Dedicated areas for working on tasks like
- "A tool zone"- cutting and embossing station Check!! wire rack Pic #3
- Sewing station-Check!! not pictured above still finishing fabric purge
- "Wet bar"- paints, inks, heat embossing etc Check!! 3 drawer cart under desk
- "Construction zone" -for laying out a project and assembling. Yay,Check!! Elbow Room
It's not pretty but It's all mine.
This is great - moving the desk really makes a big visual difference - I hope it makes it more usable, too.
ReplyDeleteDon't you wanna just plaster the hot water tank with pretty papers :) When my old area was in the kitchen/laundry area of the basement, I thought about making a curtain for the furnace/hot water tank area, but there really wasn't a way to hang it. And then the dead bugs falling out of the window well onto my projects in progress scared me away!
It does feel good huh??? Great job!
